TS Lines to offer weekly Japan – Straits – Malaysia link
From late July, TS Lines will begin to offer a weekly service that will directly connect Japan, South China and the Straits. It will be ensured through slots on the ‘Japan Straits Malaysia’ or ‘JSM’ loop, operated by Ocean Network Express (ONE).
TS Lines will retain the ‘JSM’ branding to market the service and its first effective sailing is scheduled on 25 July from Tokyo on the 4,799 teu MOL EARNEST. The ‘JSM’ service connects Tokyo, Yokohama, Shimizu, Nagoya, Kobe, Keelung*, Hong Kong, Singapore, Port Kelang (W)
, Singapore, Hong Kong, Shekou, Tokyo (*TS Lines does not participate at Keelung).
It turns in four weeks using four ships of 4,800 – 5,000 teu.
The ‘JSM’ service will complement TS Lines’ current offering between the Japanese main ports and the Straits, adding to the ‘Japan Straits – Vietnam’ service jointly operated with Yang Ming, KMTC and Gold Star Line (GSL).
