TSL enters China - New Zealand trade
TS Lines recent entrance into the China - New Zealand trade, the carrier has advised that it has launched a dedicated service connecting the two countries in late September called ‘NZE’ instead of extending its existing ‘CA2’ service to New Zealand.
The 'CA2' continues to focus on the China - Australia trade using six ships with sizes ranging from 1,700 to 4,200 teu connecting Qingdao, Shanghai, Nansha, Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Qingdao.
The new ‘NZE’ service connects Qingdao, Shanghai, Nansha, Shekou, Tauranga Qingdao and turns in six weeks. The loop is expected to be
operated using six ships of about 1,700 – 1,800 teu. The service started off with offering fortnightly sailings and it is expected to be upgraded to a weekly sailing soon. A first sailing departed
from Qingdao on 30 September with the 1,756 teu TS KWANGYANG.
TS Lines also offers another loop connecting China, Taiwan and Australia, the 'CAT', operated jointly with Evergreen, Yang Ming and Sinotrans.
